What it does
- Both networks, one key. Your key has the same address on Dogecoin and on DogecoinVM, and the app shows both balances side by side.
- Review before you sign. Every payment is shown line by line (who's paid, change back to you, a withdrawal's destination, the fee) before Touch ID signs it. The app then checks the signed transaction says exactly that before sending it.
- Move between chains in one step. Move DOGE from your Dogecoin balance to DogecoinVM, and withdraw back to your own Dogecoin address.
- Your key stays on your Mac, encrypted to its Secure Enclave, so the file is useless on any other computer.
- Notifications when a deposit is credited or a withdrawal is paid.
- Automatic updates, installed only if they're signed with the release key.
Install
- Open the downloaded
DogecoinVM-Wallet.dmg. - Drag DogecoinVM Wallet into Applications.
- Open it, then create a wallet or import the key you use on this site.
Prefer the browser? The bridge page is a full wallet too, and imports the same key.
Check what you're running
The app is open source. Each release on GitHub is tagged at the code it was built from and carries this same DMG, so you can match the download to its source. To check the copy on your Mac, run these in Terminal:
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/DogecoinVM-Wallet.dmg codesign -dv "/Applications/DogecoinVM Wallet.app" 2>&1 | grep -E "Authority=Developer|TeamIdentifier" spctl -a -vv "/Applications/DogecoinVM Wallet.app"
The checksum should match the SHA-256 above, the signer should be Paul Grey (UKU2H2D5Z7), and spctl should say it's notarized. An antivirus alert about another Dogecoin app on your Mac, such as Dogecoin-Qt, isn't about this one.
Alpha. The app works with real DOGE and the bridge's alpha limits. Keep amounts small, and back up your key from the app's Settings.
